VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Minnie Louise Niestrath Clancy, 88, of Villa Ridge died at 11:34 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born Dec. 20, 1913, in America, Ill., daughter of William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Leidigh Niestrath.

Mrs. Clancy was a member of America Christian Church and attended Villa Ridge Union Church. She was a housewife and homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Jane Nabors and husband Chuck of Chattanooga, Tenn., Debra Jean Hodges and husband Robert of Villa Ridge; three sons, Harold Leroy Clancy and wife Barbara of Lake Worth, Fla., Dennis Clancy and wife Elby of Newton, Ill., George Thomas Clancy and Cynthia Ann Clancy of Villa Ridge; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-stepgrandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Leroy Clancy, in 1960; a daughter, Linda Honey, in 1983; two sisters, Euta Schenk and Eva Tobias; and two brothers, Bill and Oscar Niestrath.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
