Three-car accident in Cape sends two women to hospital

Two women were taken to a hospital Friday afternoon after a three-vehicle accident at William Street and South Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau, according to officer Michelle Gary of the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m.

Gary said at least one of the women taken to the hospital was a passenger, but she could not comment as to the degree of the injuries.

William Street remained open to traffic, but access to Mount Auburn Road from William Street was closed for roughly 45 minutes.
