I wouldn't even consider the shooter a victim. He was a worthless thing, not worthy of being called a person. He got off easy.
My son, Jo, was good friends with Michael and he is just in total shock, like most of the people who have been following this horrible story. Michael was a good boy & he will truly be missed by all who knew him & loved him!!
yes, I would agree. the guy doing the shooting is not a "victim". more down the lines of a piece of s**t.
There is not a deep enough level of hell for this scumbag. Not only did he put the gun to the head of his own children, but he was not even brave enough to face the consequences for his own actions here on earth.
Thank God that he judges pure evil like this waste of a life.
Shawn was not a scumbag. I am not here to defend what he did because it was the most horrific thing a person can do and the ramifications are being felt by his family and friends far and wide. Fact Shawn loved his daughters and loved Michael (who was not his birth son) very much. He was a doting father that constantly talked about his kids and how much he loved Katherine. They were his world and something went horribly wrong and he could not deal with the prospect of losing his family. Like I said I am not here to defend his actions they were wrong and horrible but something happened to Shawn something he could not process something inside his head put him into a defensive mode that lead to mondays tragedy. The CCPA medic who worked on Michael at the scene was a family friend sharing childrens birthdays and fourth of july parties together with the Moshiris. The Jackson firefighter that transported Katherine to St Francis in a sheriffs car was a friend and shared the same birthdays and holidays with the Moshiris as well yet under such dire circumstances they tried to save their friends lives. I rode motorcycles with Shawn all summer as did many people and there were times we were delayed due to Shawn wanting a few more minutes with the girls before we left. Michael would spend the night at my house with my son and play Halo and other games all night and I would find sometimes 5 or 6 teenagers passed out in the morning all over my family room. Michael was loved by myself my son my daughter and everyone that knew him. His baby sisters were beautiful girls full of giggles and always smiling. Those of us that knew Shawn, Katherine, Madison, Meghan and Michael are sad confused horrified and heartbroken. I lost my Friend my kids lost their friend but Katherine lost her world and I pray to god she finds guidance to continue on and heal her body and her heart. As I said I am not defending Shawn I hate what he did it was from my view cowardly and despicable horrific and unbelievable but to say shawn was a scumbag was wrong until the events of 12/3/07 he was a father husband and friend until something went horribly wrong that only God can understand.
know the facts: Were you aware that this man had weapons, including evidently an Uzi? Somehow, this does not sound like something normal, well-adjusted, loving parents would be collecting. You are right, "something went horribly wrong," and it appears that it was not something that just struck him on 12/3. Obviously, the face he presented to those outside his family was not his true one. Two children are dead. This breaks our hearts.
True love doesn't hold a gun to his childrens' heads several times. Too bad he wasn't able to live to see the results and consequences of his actions. I guess he is in God's hands now...which may not be a good place to be depending on what he believed.
He may have been a great guy outside of this horrible tragedy, but one can only wonder what else he did to these kids and his wife.
As a parent, incidents like this keep me believing in hell.
