Work on several local MoDOT projects to start this week

MoDOT will begin work on a number of road projects in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties starting Monday.

* Crews will repair the shoulders on Highway 72 in Cape Girardeau County from Highway 72/34 to Route B near Millersville, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

* In Scott County, Route U from Route H to U.S. 61 near Haywood City, Mo., will be reduced to one lane for pavement repairs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday

* About three miles south of Chaffee, Mo., Highway 77 will be reduced to one lane for pavement repairs near County Road 264 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday; and Route Z from Route ZZ to Route DD will be reduced to one lane for patching from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Aug. 13.
