Concealed gun case may hit high court in FebruaryFriday, November 14, 2003JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Attorneys who successfully challenged Missouri's new concealed guns law have asked the state Supreme Court to hear appeal arguments no sooner than Feb. 9 -- at least two months later than the expedited schedule sought by the state attorney general. In a filing Thursday with the state's highest court, the plaintiff's attorneys said they expected as many as seven points to be raised on appeal -- many by themselves -- and needed time to prepare their case. Attorney General Jay Nixon had suggested the Supreme Court hear arguments on Dec. 3. |
