Cat Ranch Art Guild to hold art and craft show

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- The Cat Ranch Art Guild in Marble Hill will present its Art and Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 25 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the H&R Block Building. Items include candles, weaving, paintings, jewelry, baskets, stained glass, American Indian art, woodturnings, sand castings, decorated gourds, blacksmithing items, drawings of local historical buildings and others. Southeast Christmas concert slated for Nov. 28

The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Christmas concert, this year called "The Many Moods of Christmas," at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Academic Auditorium. The concert is the annual festive collaboration of the symphony orchestra with Southeast's University Choir and Choral Union and will include the popular Shaw-Bennett settings of Christmas carols, as well as a performance of Franz Schubert's "'Great' Symphony in C Major."

Skid Row to appear at Hushpuppy Nov. 29

Viennese Christmas coming to Poplar Bluff

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff will hold a Christmas concert called "A Viennese Christmas," featuring the New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra and Soloists, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the TRCC campus. Jordan to perform at Bloodworth House

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Comedian Leslie Hordan will inaugurate the Bloodworth House's holiday celebration this year with a performance at 7 p.m. Dec. 1. The Bloodworth House was founded by Hollywood writer/producers Harry and Linda Bloodworth Thomason to house the Claudia Foundation, which provides scholarships and learning opportunities to women of limited means. Jordan's credentials include roles on "Will & Grace," "Boston Legal," "Judging Amy," "Ally McBeal," "Nash Bridges," "Murphy Brown" and others. After Jordan's performance, there will be a reception featuring Jordan and the Thomasons. Seating is limited. For tickets, call (573) 686-3040.
