Truck driver Mike Monnin filled his tank with diesel fuel Monday at a cost of $3.959 per gallon at a truck stop off the New York State Thruway near Buffalo in Pembroke, N.Y.. The weaker dollar that has propelled oil and other commodities prices higher sent light, sweet crude for April delivery past $103.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The family dog kept vigil on the burned-out house Sunday in Alba, Texas, where Penny Caffey, 37, and sons Mathew, 13, and Tyler, 8, were killed early Saturday morning.
